Epson Epson Stylus CX3600

epson cx3600 misses half a page of print

My epson cx3600 prints perfectly just one half of each page vertically from top to bottom. The same is true if i use photocopy function and print directly from the printer.
What is printed is perfect!
Can anyone help.

Mine too!! It doesn't do it all of the time (just most of it). Sometimes it prints half the page vertically, then 3/4 then 1/3 - the size varies each time. Please can anyone help???

Having exactly the same problem as well. I've done all the usual stuff, head cleaning etc etc, switching off, pulling out USB. Then get excited as it prints fine for maybe at the most 3 sheets of paper but then goes back to printing half of the page. Have changed so many ink cartridges.

Any ideas off anyone please???

Switch printer to "landscape" mode.

To everyone who has the problem; Do you get any lighs on or flashing when the problem happens? If so, which ones? I suspect you are, and that you are getting an error message that causes the printer to abort printing the page.

Hi, thanks for the response.

When printing the "on" light flashes on and off, not sure if this is supposed to happen. No error message appears though to say abort printing. Can you help me?

That is what the on light is supposed to do while printing. Which blows my first theory out of the water. You might try plugging the printer into a different outlet (make sure that it is directly into the wall). If that doesn't help, I would suspect that there is a problem with the main board. Another thing to check might be whether it prints like this from different programs. I'd also be interested to know whether the nozzle check is good immediately after the problem occurs.

ok I asked an Epson rep about what to do.. and apparently my paper wasn't right for the printer? I tried a thicker card and printed out on that and it came out fine...so unless something is stuck inside your printer I would change your paper to inkjet (if you haven't already).. it seems to work for mine...I was buying some cheaper copier paper so think the printer wasn't recognising it as A4.. but mine is working fine now.. hope this helps!
