Epson Epson Stylus Color 400

Epson inkjet clogged

Hi guys,

Just received a couple of bottles of your solution to unplug the printheads. I have a 400 and a 670 on the bench both with clogged black heads. Tryed the solution and left it over night and still no black. Any suggestions?

See the discussion on using Windex with Ammonia. I had an Epson 800 color printer with absolutely no black ink printing. I soaked the sponge that the heads park on with Windex for a few hours and then ran a few head cleaning cycles. The black ink started printing like a miracle! I found the easiest way to get access to the sponge was to start printing a black and white document and to spray the sponge during the print cycle. I'm not sure this is recommended, but it was the only easy way I could find to access the sponge without disassembly. Good luck on your repair!

The tip of the applicator fits perfectly on the ink fitting on the cartridge housing. Move the cartridge housing over as per the instruction sheet, remove the black cartridge and gently inject the solution directly into the head and let it sit. Put the cartridge back on so the ink in it doesn't dry out.
