Epson Epson Stylus Photo 900

Epson 900 Color problem

I have mixing of colors in the print head and cannot figure out what the problem is. When I print a nozzle check test, there is magenta ink in the yellow pattern. After I run a head clean cycle, the problem clears up. After the printer sits for a few hours, the magenta apears in the yellow pattern again. I have used the Epson 900 heavile for several years and it has performed well.
Are there passages in the print head that will allow colors to leak and mix internally?
No, there is no way colors could be mixed internally. But when the head is in its parking position it sits usually on a pad, which could be dirty.

I have an epson stylus 580 did the same thing .As I refill my own pots I found that the seal under the colours was not sticking properly and allowing the colour to mix.
