Epson Epson Stylus Color II

Epson Cleaner Windex

The color heads on my Epson Stylus Color II printer have been completely "plugged," while the black worked fine for close to a year now. I soaked the color pad with Windex for about eight hours and now all colors work just fine. Your tip saved me from purchasing a new printer for the very few color applications that I have.
Thank you,
Paul Ferry
We used to use the windex solution before we found the Epson head cleaning solution. I've heard the windex can damage the head. The Epson head cleaning solution works better.

Brand new colored ink cartridge installed results in same problem -no red tones!I am unable to find any setting to adjust and wonder if I have a $25.00 plus defective cartridge or if this windex treatment might help. I have an Epson Stylus color II and this problem seems to have been present on the last cartridge, however my usage of the printer was so limited, I considered it to be because of a dried up cartridge.Would love to hear from anyone with any ideas on this problem. Thanks, Billie

Windex works, but there is some question of potential head damage from it. The head cleaner on this site works better and is the same chemical Epson uses for cleaning head clogs.
