Hp HP LaserJet 4100

Fixer Film Kit

Do you offer a fixer film kit a Hp 4200 laserjet printer or is the fixer film kit for a Hp 4100 laserjet is the same?
Not the same. Fixing film is available for the 4200, but I don't trust the lubricant at the higher speeds of the 4200. Seen too many issues of ghosting, smudging etc. Best way to go is to replace the heater assembly.

Not only that, but you have to be careful with the 4200 fuser. They had a service note for it for quite some time because there was a flange that was set at the wrong angle and it caused the film to tear on the left side of the fuser. Because of that we do not even buy rebuilt fusers from our usual source since there is no way to determine if the flange has been replaced. We only buy HP OEM maintenance kits for the 4200. In fact when we could not get the OEM kits we ordered a couple of them from our usual source and both of them failed within 60 days with torn films. Both were returned and our source assured us that they are now using the new flange. They maybe but we still buy OEM.
