Epson CX3600: All was good, now it's taking 2 mins

Hi

I'm having problems with a CX3600 printer. I've had the device just over 1.5 years and to be honest, I've never been completely happy with it mainly due to it's speed at consuming ink.

Anyway over the last few days it has suddenly become extremely slow to the point where it is taking over 2 minutes to print a test page.

I've tried a different USB port, turned off the printer and back on, tried the Epson online diagnostic tests, etc.

I HAVE MADE NO CHANGES TO MY COMPUTER HARDWARE, SOFTWARE OR BIOS SINCE THIS PROBLEM HAS STARTED.

The drivers maintenance page has a few tests/monitors which freeze when I try to use them - notably they have trouble locating the printer. Rather odd, because there is no comms probs with the printer and the online test said comminucation was FINE, but the printer is taking way too long to print.

Eventually I get "Printer not ready" messages, which I click to get rid of. Then a little while later the printing starts. Scanning is the same as normal - IE it starts instantly.

Can anyone advise? - Epson's website is useless and I don't have the cash to get an engineer to fix it.

Got it solved - Something wrong with the printer driver.

Re-installed and all good now.
