Xerox 8500 error 09,037.45

I'm in the middle of doing a HUGE print job, notice that the jets are fouling and I need to clean them. So I do a clean for the light stripes when the printer, in the middle of cleaning, gives the 09,037.45 error message. Xerox's site states that this is a "Yellow Ink Stick Count Failure".

Oh My GOSH!!!

What a total LAME error to stop the printer and have it totally shut down on me. The printer is brand new as of January of 2006, so warranty isn't the problem. It's the fact that this has happened on a weekend, where support isn't available from Xerox and I still have yet to complete my huge print job!

I've tried shutting it down, letting it cool off. No go. It just boots up and before it even starts warming up, it displays the error message.

Is it really an ink count problem? STOP THE PRINTER! THE PRINTER FORGOT HOW MANY INK STICKS HAVE GONE THROUGH IT!!!

I was hoping that you could do a hard reset, then move on, like on HP printers when you boot them up holding the online button and it will give you the "08 Cold Reset"...

Please tell me this is an easy fix, I still have 1500 pages left to print before Monday.

Thank you,

Joel
