Hp 4100MFP hard drive replacement

I have some hard drive from laptops that are not in use. Can i just put that into the the 4100 and it'll work?

If someone has the service manual for it, I'd appreciate it.
I have a PDF manual for this send me a email if your interested

The pdf will not do you any good. The hard drive is an EIO hard drive which is mounted on a card which sits in one of the EIO slots on the formatter. All you have to do is loosen the two screws that secure the eio card and pull it out. Make sure the power is off. You can not just put another hard drive on that card. The drive comes preloaded with software necessary to run the 4100MFP.
