Epson Epson Stylus Photo 2000P

Epson stylus photo 2000p - blue lines!

After 2 years of pretty hassle free printing, my Epson stylus photo 2000p now prints blue lines over whatever I'm printing (photos, text, black&white, colour...) Have done no end of nozzle alignment checks and print head cleaning... still no improvement. It seems that one nozzle (cyan?) is firing as and when it likes. Epson support suggested it might be a main board fault, but I want to be sure before taking it to be serviced and forking out a kings ransom getting it fixed!!

Has anyone had a similar problem... or have a solution?

I am having the same problem. Did you ever resolve this blue lines issue? Thanks.

I have the same problem. Looks like a weakness in the product. Did you get it fixed?

Nope. Binned the printer about a year ago now!

If updating drivers and cleaning the print head does not help then it indicates the print head or main board is failing. You can test the print head by changing the print resolution. Lower resolution no lines - \\7Ãer resolution lines. These lines will be outside of the magrins as well.
