Laserwriter II NT

Recently, after moving it, my Apple Laserwriter II NT stopped printing and communicating.

After starting my LaserWriter II NT all indicators light, after some time the paper jam led starts to blink, all others stay on. The printer does not attempt to print the startpage.

The engine test (button hidden on the right) does print the zebra-pattern without any fault.

Which parts are most likely to have failed and how do I investigate what should be replaced?

Best regards,
Take off all covers and examine the wires they can fall off inside but thats rare.

Screws can also get lose.

so check the machine inside.

And it can be a bad forrmatter.

Definitely a formatter board problem. You could try sliding it out the back (2 screws). Put it on a flat surface and press down hard on all the plug in chips to make sure they are seated. Make sure the 2 dip switches in the back are in the up position.

No loose wires or screws in bottom section. Removed formatter blade, reseated font chips and checked for visible damage (none found). Are there any known measurement points on the blade to check for bad sections?

Nothing much you can do. I can sell you a working used NT board cheap. Save you the frustration of trying to fix the other one. Email me for pricing and ordering info.
