Apple Apple LaserWriter 360

New Cartridge is Printing Black Band

I have an Apple Laserwriter 360 and I just bought a new Cartridge after the old one went dry. Installed it and got a small black band on the left side on prints. Thought it would disapper but it started get bigger each print. Cleaned the Drum of all the toner that is getting on it numerous times but still the problem gets worse, the dirty area on the drum and the band keep getting bigger (1/2 a page dark grey now) after at least 100 prints of blank paper and of reg prints. I am out of options and need a new idea or should I declare the cartridge DOA.

Return the cartridge, it is defective. It has a wipper blade which most likely has gone bad.

The problem with the 360 is that there are no "new" fresh cartridges. I believe it has been 2 years since that cartridge was discontinued. You may be buying a new cartridge but it has been sitting on someone's shelf for some time. You will have to keep checking cartridges until you find one that is still working.
