LW II ntx and Win98 PC
I recently bought a LW II ntx at auction. Downloaded the manual and set DIP switches to talk to Win98 PC. The printer generates the status sheet after warmup. The problem is sending a windows test print causes the green light to flash 20 sec or so then stay on but nothing will print. PostScript errors is enabled but none print. The PC printer timeouts were set to infinite but that didn't help. The printer status sheet is titled "Mario's NTX". Do I need to reset some postscript variables in the printer or do you think this is a printer hardware problem?
Are you using a null modem cable? Switches 1 and 2 should be down to enable PC operation. I don't know why anybody wants to go to all these headaches for an extremely slow serial printer. I try to advise people not to even attempt it because of the difficulties involved.
I'm using a null modem cable and switches 1&2 are down. I agree that it's been pretty painful trying to get this thing to work.
