HP 8100 Tray 4
Hello, I just installed the lower tray 4 on my HP 8100, but the printer still pulls from tray 2. Does not seem to recognize tray 4. This came from another 8100 that was working fine. Any ideas? Thanks!
First thing i would do is a paper path test. If you try to select tray 4 and it's not there then it doesn't see the external paper tray. Reseat all the cables to the printer and try again. And make sure you have power to the external paper tray. If it sees tray four then configure it as the default paper tray. Let me know how you do.

Thanks Shay. The paper path test works on tray 4. But when I try and print it still pulls from the upper trays. I printed out an Event Log Page. The error code I get on the event log page reads: 66.00.15 PAPER HANDLING CONTROLLER ERROR. Any ideas? Thanks all.
