My HP LaserJet IIIP has started coming up with "13 PAPER JAM" error, but there is no paper jam.

Sometimes it displays the error without feeding the paper.

At other times it displays the error when the first page is "almost" finished printing ... so perhaps the error is caused by the improper pick-up of the paper for the second page ... yes?

Is Item #K08, the "HP LaserJet IIP/IIP+/IIIP No Paper Pickup Repair Kit" the fix for this problem?

Two years ago I fixed this same HP LaserJet IIIP with Item #K07, and the printer has been operating fine ... until today.

I have the same problem as you described in July of 2005.

How did you correct it???

Any help would be appreciated

Watch the front end of the paper. Does it lift up when it starts to print? Do the rollers come down and try to move it? Does it move at all? How far?
