Epson Epson Stylus Color 740

Printer Problem Epson Stylus Color 740

My Epson Stylus Color 740 using a HP 8650C with Windows 98 has stopped working after 4 years. The printer itself is working fine. It will print the test page without being connected to the computer and prints fine from my friend's Toshiba notebook computer. I have uninstalled drivers and reinstalled the drivers. I was using the LPT1 port, but have installed to USB port. Now, under device manager, there is a big YELLOW question mark beside (other devices/Epson Stylus 740). The USB port is working properly and the print port points to the USB. Any suggested repairs for this problem?

Thanks. Todd
Try removing the USB options from Device Manager in your computer, then hit Refresh. Your Operating System should then "find" your USB and re-install the drivers.

I also have a problem with my epson stylus color 740. When I was printing a document, a paper got jammed. After I pulled it out, it's been acting funny ever since. The letters don't come out smoothly.
