Hp HP LaserJet 4

Fuser problem I think...but what part?

When I print a page on my HP LJ 4 I can whipe off the toner of my paper easily, what's the problem?
I think it is in the fuser (because there the toner should be fixed to the paper), but I don't know which part of the toner I should replace....

Thanks for helping

If the fuser were bad, it would give you a 50 error. Most likely, your problem is the shipping levers are in the up position. Look at the metal frame of the fuser assy. Just inside the 2 vertical supports, you'll see a thin metal lever. They should be in the down position. These levers are there to relieve pressure during shipping and storage of the printers. They are supposed to be lowered after purchase.
