Hi folks, have problem with printer not printing. worked fine previous day then stopped printing colour and black. new cartridges fitted still no joy on page test. disconnected printer from pc and did printer self test still no printing. in all cases printhead goes through the motion of printing but all i get is a blank page. printer used every day at home and about 6 years old from new. any ideas?
Nomad: When a printer prints fine one day and stops printing the next day [especially on both color and black], its usually do to an actual hardware/parts failure, but no way to really know. At this point, about all you can do, is try running sets of "Printhead Cleaning Cycles" & "Nozzle Tests", to to get the ink to start flowing correctly again. Be sure and run a nozzle test after every cleaning cycle ran. The printer uses each nozzle test as a point of reference, for the next cleaning cycle ran. You may have to run up to 5 or 6 sets of those tests, to try and get the ink to start flowing correctly again. Running a lot of "PRINTHEAD CLEANING CYCLES" and "NOZZLE TESTS" can use up the ink inside the cartridges. On some models, you could install a NEW CARTRIDGE and run between 10-15 cleaning cycles and tests and its possible to empty the new cartridge. If after running those sets of tests, no ink is still showing up, then I would have to guess that a part has probably failed, especially as the problem happened so quickly...Good Luck! Denny Conway

I'm having a similar problem to this. My printer was working fine till I had to change the black ink cartridge. After this I couldn't get any black to print. Now, despite lots of nozzle checks, head cleans and another cartridge change, I'm still getting blank pages. After I changed to the second cartridge, it worked fine for a while so I figured the first replacement must have been a faulty ink cartridge but it has since stopped again. I'm only having trouble with black. Colours are working fine. Did you manage to get yours printing again Nomad? Was it a parts problem if so?
