HP 5si MX tray 2 lift problem

Hello, i have an HP 5si mx that has a problem with tray 2 not lifting. When i open the front access panel / door. I see that the tray is not lifting. This results in the error "tray 2 empty" even though its not empty. It only prints when the tray is topped off with paper (or i toggle the paper flag sensor up)...but then stops and errors out after a few pages are printed. I tried switching the trays but that did not work. The black plastic paper flag sensor inside works properly. It seems that the actual problem is with the black thing a ma jig that actually lifts the tray up. The tray moves freely so i know the tray is not the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
You need to replace the complete PIU.

Not that easy, but then again not that hard. You can get a refurbished unit from either partsnow.com or depot-america.com on adavance exchange. They cost about 135.00. They may have the manual on this site or if not and you decide you want to try it, email me and I will send you the pdf for disassembly.
