Hi,

Do you have HP Jetadmin? You will need this software to configure your printserver to give it an IP address etc. then your will have to set this printer up on your laptop like all other printers except this time install a networked printer or create a TCP/IP port. Hope this helps.

Anwar,

You do not need the jet admin software to setup. You can use the menu on the printer to assign a ip address for the printer. Just go the EIO menu and when it says cfg=no change to yes and hit the select key and then do item by item. Keep in mind that the ip address you assign to the printer should be within the same parameters of the ip address assigned to your computer. Example if you set the ip address of your computer as 192.168.0.1 then you will want to give the printer an address such as 192.168.0.2 or .3 or .4 etc. The frame should be the same such as 255.255.255.0 When you add the printer on your computer just choose the other port option at the bottom and choose TCP/IP and go from there. The port name will be the ip address. Good Luck.
