Laserwriter IIntx Jam
I just stated having internal paper jam problems with my LW IIntx. It picks a sheet of paper up feeds it to the fuser and stops. The paper usually has 90\% of the printng complete but does not get to the fuser to melt the toner to the paper. I couldn't find a similiar problem on any forums anywhere. Can anyone help me with this?
If the leading edge is touching the fuser but not in it at all, it'll be either the arm gear on the fuser has a broken tooth, or the gear on the printer that mates with it. If it is about an inch into the assembly, it is the optical sensor on the left of the assembly. We have the gears in stock. You can defeat the door interlock using our troubleshootin page pictorial. To see if the fuser gears are turning, push down on the front of the lever on the right side and that will engage them. Each time you put something in the door interlock the motor will bump. You can take the cover plate off the gear assembly to check that. There is one black screw holding it in.
Thanks Moe, but the Fuser was replaced with a new fuser assembly just 5 months ago. None of the teeth are missing on the gears on that assembly. I believe it has something to do with the pickups. They are most likely worn. The laser company that does the toner replacements mentioned I'll have to replace them soon last visit. Has anyone else had a similiar problem? If so what was the eventual defective part?
