HP LJ4+ jams when pulling paper from tray

I have a LaserJet 4 Plus that jams every time you try to print from the internal paper tray. If you use the manual feed, all is well. Any ideas?
It could be a couple of things. The pickup roller could be worn out. Pull it off and examine it. The other one is the small rubber roller in front of it. The roller tends to move upward on the shaft. There should be only a little bit of play when you move the roller in and out. If there is a lot of play, you have to take the feed assembly out and hold the shaft while pushing the roller back on. We have an instructional video available that shows the process. Special order only. Contact me by email if you need it.

I've got a tray in front of me and I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to say. If I can't figure it out, I'm sure no one else can.

Thank you for the assistance. It turns out that it was the MOST COMMON problem. Some time back, someone ran some cheap labels thru the printer and one of them got stuck in the paper path. Of course, you have to take the entire paper path apart to locate it. Thanks for the assistance.
