Hp HP LaserJet IIIP+

HP Laserjet IIIP

My laserjet printer is not print on the center of the page -- the text just fades out. I think it might need a new drum, or something like that. Any suggestions? I just replaced the toner cartridge.

~Thanks!
If it just started when you replaced the toner, my guess is you have a bad toner. If the cartridge is not HP OEM I am 95\% sure it is the toner cartridge only because that is the one cartridge which has a very bad record with remanufacturers.

Printing light in the center of the page is symptomatic of toner starvation. That's the first place where light printing occurs when the cartridge is empty. Remanufacturers usually prime it with a small amount of toner for test prints. If there was a seal in the cartridge that you didn't pull, then that toner will have run out. On a new OEM cartridge, there is no priming toner and it will print blank if you didn't pull the seal.
