HP LJ4000

I cleared a jam at the registration area by removing the MP Tray 1. Upon re-installing the parts back into the printer and running a test page, I continue to get a 13.1 error. The test page jams at the registration . Prior to the jam, I hear a "clicking" sound coming from the inside of the printer<about 4-5 clicks>, then it goes into the jam state..13.1. Sometimes, I get a test page that makes it to the exit assembly, but, it's blank. Most of the time, the test page only makes it to the registration, clicks about 4 or 5 times, then I get the 13.1 error code. Any technical advice on repair strategy would be greatly appreciated. What parts might I need to isolate this problem?

Thank you,
Paulman
Well, I can tell you when I replaced the registration assy. on a LJ4000, I wasn't carefull and didn't set the sensors correct. There are a couple of black sensors underneath the registration assy. that stick up about 1-2in that should swing freely when the assy. is installed. You might also just need to replace the entire registration assy.
