Hp LaserJet III Misprint

My question pertains to an HP Laserjet III printer. Somebody had replaced the toner in the printer, and it had gotten everywhere, upon cleanup, now across the middle section of the page there is a very vague faded imprint resembling a watermark going down the middle of the page. It measures about 4 inches wide about. I have taken it apart and tried cleaning all the pickup rollers and such but it has not fixed the problem. If anybody has any idea as to what may be the problem, or if toner may have gotten on a certain part, please reply. Thanks.

That's symptomatic of a bad toner cartridge. If you remove the cartridge and pull back the drum shutter, you'll see the image on the drum. If you rotate the gears away from you, the wiper blade in the unit should clean the drum surface. If it doesn't, you'll have to replace the cartridge.
