Epson Epson Stylus Photo 1200

Epson 1200 XP driver?

I have an Epson photostylus 1200 printer that I am trying to use with a Dell Windows XP system. There doesn't seem to be a driver available from Epson for this printer. I tried using the printer with the generic XP drivers in my Dell...but the printing wasn't very good.

(I know the printer prints very well as I use it on my Mac.)

Has anyone had success using the Epson 1200 with Windows XP?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Tom: I'm assuming that you have already installed the pre-loaded Win's XP Printer Driver, thats probably alteady loaded on your XP Operating System. If that driver is not working correctly, then you can always go on-line to the Epson UK Download Library, at http://www.epson.co.uk/support/download/index.htm and try the "Stylus Photo 1200 / Windows XP Printer Driver [version 5.0b, size 3.36 MB's]", thats listed for download. Once your at that web-site, under "Select Printer", hit the scroll arrow and then click-on "Inkjet Printer". Under "Select Model", hit the scroll arrow and scroll down and click-on "Stylus Photo 1200". Under "Operating System", hit the scroll arrow and scroll down to "Windows XP" and click-on it. Read the info and download the available XP Printer Driver and then install it and try it. I hope it helps you better than the XP pre-installed printer driver...Just in case you need it: You can go to the Epson USA Support web-site, for Drivers & Downloads, at www.epson.com and there you can see the "Status Monitor 2 v2.5bE", for Win's XP, that can be downloaded directly from that site...Good Luck!
