Hp HP LaserJet 5SI

hp 5Si paper jam

can anyone help please?

whenever i print, 2 pages jam on exiting the fuser. one page is just about touching the exit rollers and the other is just leaving the fuser.

i have replaced the exit rollers, i have roller restored every roller i can see and i have replaced the fuser to no avail.

thanks in advance
Since you replaced the fuser, I'd suspect the exit sensor. If you look at the top left of the fuser, you'll see a black plastic pivoting arm. This blocks and unblocks an exit sensor above it. The sensor itself is behind a protective metal plate. I've seen 2 of those that were broken in spite of the metal plate. The sensor is u-shaped. One of the poles has the led, the other the photocell. When they break, the led doesn't hit the photocell anymore.

thanks for your time moe.

for your information:
found the fault, there is a plastic arm/plate on the inside of the large door (fuser side), and when the door is shut it pushes the cogs of the exit rollers down to interlock with the cogs linked to the motor. (if that makes sense). this plastic plate has broken off which means there is no drive to the exit rollers.
