Epson 700 paper feed problem
Greetings, I have a 4-year old Epson Stylus Photo 700 that indicates that a paper jam exists. There is no paper jam. The machine will occastionally feed a sheet of paper through the system and then continue to load additional sheets. The extra sheets will not feed through the machine. The problem appears to be associated with the metal arm on the left of the machine that causes the white plastic gears to engage. I've tried the 9-step ROM reset technique I've read about online five times and it didn't work. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Ed
Thanks, Ed
Resetting the rom has nothing to do with the paper feed. You may need to readjust the paper feed timing. Here is a link to the paper feed system it shows the 440 but it coners the 700 as well. http://epsonhelp.freehttp.com/440PF.html
I hope this helps,
Wes.

Wes,
Thanks for the info. I'll work on it tomorrow when I can focus my eyes again. It's been a long day.
Thanks again.

Ed: Try slightly bending that metal arm inwards, so that it contacts the black plastic protrusion, on the Print Cartridge Holder Assembly, sooner. Sometimes that metal arm gets bent backwards towards that large white gear and does not make good contact with that plastic protrusion. That plastic piece pushes against that metal arm, to engage that paper feed gearing/drive assembly...Good Luck! Denny Conway
