Apple Apple StyleWriter II

frankenprinter!

So here's an interesting question:

I have an HP LaserJet II in *superb* condition
(e.g. original engine parts, less than 10k pages).
I also have obtained (for free) an old,
almost-mechanically-dead Apple Laserwriter II.

Now, the LW II has certain features that are appealing,
such as it's builtin PS interpreter, as well as an
ethernet connector. Knowing that these are both
SX engine printers, I was wondering if it's possible
(and/or advisable) to swap out parts to keep my
LJ II engine, and the LW II logic boars. Any
advice on how to do this with the least amount of
disassembly? (i.e. is it possible to merely swap the
logic boards for the units?)

Looking forward to a respose,

Only 2 parts that are not interchangeable are the logic board and the dc controller
