HP LJ 4+ 41.3 errors
I have a 4+ with duplex.
I got your 41.3 video & repair part, and followed the disassembly. It was all very clear and easy to understand. Unfortunately, it hasn't fixed the 41.3 error. The error's intermittent, occuring anywhere from the first to the 15th page. When duplex printing, it always occurs on the first side printed. It prints a bit too far up the paper (but as this is duplex, I don't know if it's actually the paper dragging); always about half an inch too far.
I'm wondering whether this problem started after I printed some new labels. They were Avery labels, and had been stored in original packaging, and I only ever print entire sheets of labels, from the manual feed. But is it possible I've managed to get some label gunk onto something?
What should I do next?

41.3 is an unexpected paper size error. Check the paper size setting in the printer control panel for tray 1 is set correctly. Check the other trays. Run some tests from different trays.
The paper size settings are set correctly (and besides, the fault is intermittent: I don't see how a mistake in the settings could cause an error some times and not others). I haven't reproduced the fault on the manual tray (which I rarely use).
I would check the Pick Up roller if it is worn out, and try to move the rubber around it.

Try replacing the entire paper input unit which is extremely simple and quick to do on a hp 4. It can be anything related to that unit. I replace it when I see this error and it fixes it every time.
