Hp HP LaserJet 5MP

Printer is not taking in paper.

Hi, A friend of mines gave me an old, (never been used in a while) HP laserjet 5MP printer to fix. I have never fixed a laser printer in my life before and I would like some guidance. When I put on the printer all the lights cycle, and it stops on the bottom green LED. When I hit the button for a testpage to be printed. I hear a sound like if the motors in the printer is starting but soon after the motor quickly comes to a halt and all the LED comes on except for the bottom LED. When I press any button after (I think) the top LED remains lit.The printer cannot
print a testpage or any page as a matter of fact even from the bypass tray

Do you all think it is :
1. A motor is burnt out
2. A fuser problem
3. A roller problem

Any response welcomed.
The laser boys did not pick up on this as you did not put the model number in the subject line...I suggest you repost with HP laserjet 5MP in subject line...then go on to describe problem.

Did you look at the repair kits available via the link in upper right?

The error code indicates the fuser has malfunctioned. It would indicate that the fuser is not reaching its required temperature which means the heating element is probably bad.
