Hp HP LaserJet 5MP

HP LJ5MP Pickup Jam

I have an HP Laserjet 5MP. The paper pickup from the paper tray (not the manual feed) jams regularly. The paper in the manual feed is also beginning to pull unevenly, but that is how I am currently using my printer. From reading posts, it sounds like it is a pickup mechanism problem. I can find pickup jam repair kits for the paper tray for various HP models, but nothing for the 5MP. I don't think the repair kit for the manual feed pickup will fix my problem, but I may be wrong. Can someone please advise? Thanks.
You probably have a paper scrap in the oblique rollers. That's the one in front, below the toner cartridge. One screw on the left and wiggle the plate a little to get it out.

There were no scraps, but there was a lot of paper dust. We unscrewed the plate, used compressed air to blast all the junk out, and retightened the screw. It's been five days now, and the printer is pulling up paper from the paper feed cleanly once again. Thanks for the useful advice.
