Epson Stylus Color 660 Printing Japanese? Chinese?

Hi, I've been lurking on this site for a while now, and would now like to ask a question of my own.

Any thoughts on why my Epson Stylus Color 660 seems to dislike printing text in Chinese or Japanese.

I'm trying to print Microsoft Internet Explorer webpages and Microsoft Word documents with Chinese or Japanese text and haven't had much luck. Only some of the text seems to print, although the print preview looks perfect. I have no trouble printing text in English.

Here are details about my system:

Toshiba Satellite 2595X
64MB RAM Celeron

Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition
4.10.2222 A

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 6.0.2800.1106
Microsoft Word 9.0 Build 2717
Microsoft Global IME 5.0

Epson Stylus Color 660
Epson Version 5.02

Hoping to hear from anyone.

Sincerely,
Frances Wu

P.S. Your advice re: Epson's communication error problems was a god-send.
Frances: I'm sorry, I have no idea, but thats probably a question for the Epson Technical Support Department. You can e-mail Epson Technical Support for possible help or advice, at http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCooki e=yes&infoType=Email&oid=14374&prodoid=11473&menuSpec=15 ...Denny Conway
