Apple Apple StyleWriter II

LaserWriter IINT to G

Hi,

I'm trying to get my Apple LaserWriter II to work. I just bought a LW II G controller board to convert my NT to an ethernet capible LW II g. The printer was working well as as an NT. When I installed the new controller board and started it up, the printer went through the startup check—light blinking routine, then the green light starts blinking like it's about to print a job, then it seems to reset itself and the lights go through the restart blinking routine all over again. The printer makes a brief wind up noise (half second) when it goes back to the green blinking light to start the cycle all over again.
Last night Moe suggested that I set the number setting to '4' and restart. I did that and got the same results. Is this board bad?
Thanks,
Lane
I hope you didn't buy it from eBay. Or as I fondly call them "the den of thieves". Try returning or exchanging the board, it's dead.
