Hp HP DeskJet 670C

Print qualtiy

I have a HP Deskjet 670c. When I print text, there are fine lines that run through some of the words. I have cleaned the cart. and ran a cleaning cycle. It helped, but did not eliminate the lines completely. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Check the resevior where the excess ink is deposited. Do like you are going to change the cartridge. Check on either the left or right side, I do not know which and you will see an area with spongy material with lots of ink. You want to clean as much of the ink off as you can. Popsicle sticks work. It will be messey. I do not usually work on ink jets so maybe someone else has a better way to clean it. I know by some other posts here that some people prefer to have the cover removed and the resevior removed using a torx screwdriver bit. Good Luck

DMZ is correct....cartridge parking pad area (on right as you face printer) is dirty and contaminating the cartridge printhead.

After moving the cartridges out, unplug printer. In addition to above, follow up with distilled water and cotton swabs. Clean the wipers also.

You didn't say whether the lines through your words were lack of ink or ink lines. The cartridge parking area my be dirty but if you have fine horizontal ink lines in your printout, I can assure you that there is lint dangling from the carriage. Go to this web page for a sample printout with the lint problem and the solution.
