Epson Stylus color 600 won't PRINT!!
I am going crazy trying to figure out what to do with my printer. When I try to print, I receive an error message that tells me to make sure the printer is online, try to print a test page, or try to reinstall the printer driver. I have completely deleted all the Epson drivers off of my computer. I went to the Epson website and downloaded it to my computer. I still receive the error message. I don't know what I can do. It's like my computer isn't recognizing that there is a printer attached, but I have changed cords, but still no luck. Please Help!
If you have a manual, refer to the instructions for a "self test". This requires that you remove the printer to computer interface cable as you will be testing it "stand alone".
If you run a self test and get an error message, problem is with printer.
If it prints the test no problem, fault lies w/computer or the software used (like MS word)
Self test instructions on Epson web site and here also via search (box on home page).
You mentioned cords...one is a POWER cord, the other is a printer CABLE. Question....have you tried plugging that power cord into a different power SOURCE? (like a different wall socket...not power strip) Is there a way you could check the continuity of the power cord to make sure it does not have an internal break?
Advise findings after test
