HP4 paper probs

I recently installed an exit jam re-build kit to fix an accordian problem that I was having. Now it is intermittent, but only with heavier photo paper type.

Here's what I am trying to do (and what I was successfuly doing for quite a while before the printer went on the blink).

I print the glossy side of the photo paper on a Photosmart 1218 printer, and the paper (dull) side on the laserjet 4. What I am printing is trader cards. But I am getting really frustrated with a jam/accordian situation every now and then.

Any ideas???
The HP4 doesn't really like heavy stock. We used to print business cards on 120 lb. stock on ours. The way to do it is open the rear door, tape down the back of the fuser assy. Then you carefully insert something to keep the door interlock switch depressed. You can find it by looking for the plastic extension on the rear door, it pushes the interlock in. Looking at the rear of the printer it would be on the right above the fuser. You know you have it right when the printer engine fires up. The paper will then go straight through. Make sure you feed from the Manual feed tray.
