Epson Epson Stylus Color 600

Epson color 600

I have an Epson 600. There are 2 new cartridges in the unit. It worked fine until recently, now it will not print and keeps trying to print more pages than the 1 entered. This is on a computer using Win 98. The printer works fine on an older computer with Win 95.
I have removed and reinstalled the Epson software and tried several solutions suggested by Epson, including reinstalling the LPT1 port info.
Any suggestions?
Vern: If your printer actually "works fine on an older computer with Win 95", then I would assume that your printer is actually working ok and your problem is in your Win's 98 Computer System. If no one else replies back and can help you, just remember that this is a Printer Repair Site and you probably need a Computer Technician, rather than a Printer Technician. You may have internal computer settings [such as BIOS Settings] that are off, or even software problems and need a computer technician to troubleshoot your possible problem. You can remove your Printer Cable from your printer and then turn your printer off for about 10 to 15 seconds to clear out any old DATA and then run a STAND ALONE TEST. With paper loaded, just hold-in on the paper button, while you turn on your printer. Continue to hold-in on the paper button for 3 to 5 seconds until your printer starts to operate and then release the paper button. Your printer should pull in a piece of paper and print out an "Internal Epson Self-Test Copy", if your printer thinks its working ok. If it does, then at least you would know your probable problem is in your computer system, rather than in your printer and can then seek help from a computer technician...Good Luck! Denny Conway
