does oem tonercart disintegrate like older carts do

Just wondering whether the new old stock 11X toner carts break down internally due to age, or whether they can be trusted to be decent quality. I ask because I know from experience that the old 74A oem are now junk because the foam disintegrates inside making most of them inoperable even though never used.

Also, thanks to Moe for helping with the solenoid relay issues, my 2430n is working great now

what breaks down are the 2 rubber blades inside. One distributes the coating on the toner roller. The drum wiper blade cleans off the leftover toner after each print job. I once opened an old sealed cartridge from a laserjet II. The blades had disintegrated so badly, that there was just some brownish stubble on the steel frame. New replacement blades are available on the internet as are replacement instructions.

So I guess new old stock oem 11X are best to be avoided?
