Paper won't go through fuser aghhhhh
I have an Epson Aculaser C1100 which is driving me bonkers. Any help would be appreciated.
The printer appears to pick up paper and feed it all the way up to the (what I believe is the fuser unit, this fuser unit. Though if this is a fuser unit it does not have two rollers. It has one soft heated rubber roller which presses against a thin piece of teflon sheet up against an aluminium bar.) When the paper reaches this point it stops dead will not pass through which results in concertinad paper. Even though this aluminium bar has release leavers tensioned with springs, loosening the tension still doesn't allow the paper to pass through this final roller. Loosening the tension leavers totally allows it to pass through but obviously the toner is not bonded to the page. Any help would really be appreciated..
Could be the gears driving the fuser roller are worn. Hard to disgnose without being in front of it.
Really appreciate you replying so for that..thank you.
Watching the gears all looks fine seem to be meshing with no problems, no horrible sounds all looks in sync and fuser roller turns with no problems. Any other advice accepted gratefully
But for some reason, whilst Cups has a huge list of drivers for Epsom printers going back decades, it doesn't have mine - the Aculaser C1100. I did try .ppd drivers from other sources but I am assuming now that the problem is that they are x86, not ARM (or in other, plainer words: nobody has produced a driver for the Raspberry Pi).
