Paper Jam 13 - bad sensor?
I have a Laserjet 4MV that has been sitting unused for a couple of years. It was working fine when it was put on the shelf. I tried to use it yesterday and when it prints it immediately generates a Paper Jam error 13. You can hear the solenoid engage that drives the paper pickup, but then it immediately errors out. Seems like this might be a sensor error. Any hints on how to troubleshoot?
Sensors don't go bad. More likely the pickup roller. Try watching what happens by looking through the opening at the back of the tray with a flashlight.
