Replace waste ink tank

I have the same problem as so many people with completely missing row of PGBK print. I'm able to get away with it but it is infuriating as in every other way the printer behaves perfectly. As a last resort, I want to clean out the waste ink reservoir - or change it as the case may be. Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure the ink is not being 'drawn out' of at least part of the Photo Blk cartridge- two rows print perfectly - as I said on my meagre post on this, I'm about to give in.

Cleaning it won't help at all. Did you try popping out the heads and running them under hot tap water?
