Paper lifting mechanism not working

As the title says, papers in the cassette isn't being lifted into the printer. The gears that is supposed to lift the papers is not spinning and I can't figure out where the motor driving the gears is located. I am new to printers and don't want to take apart half the printer just to figure that out. Not yet anyway. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Page 6 part 37 is the gear connecting with the paper cassette

I have only worked on Hp lifters. That model looks like a lot of disassembly required. On the Hps it is never the motor or gears. It is always the lifting spring that pops off. The motor is item 15. Motors almost never go bad.

Ok thanks Moe. I have finally disassembled and tested the motor and as you said the motor and gears works fine. Which gives me more troubleshooting to do and I have no idea what to do.

A paperless lifting mechanism can be jammed or blown.
