Manual Feed Paper Jam

Printer works fine, no paper jams when using the tray. Cleaned solenoids years ago. Only problem is the manual feed. Paper gets sucked in around 2 inches (seems like too much compared to my other 4L) and stops, waiting for the print signal. When told to print, the paper feeds in almost all the way, and then the machine stops due to paper jam. The control arm looks fine. Any suggestions? I am doing my best to get another 20 years out of my machine. Thank you!

Try a forum search for your model. There are a bunch of posts on manual feed jams. Here is one of them. https://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/64957
