Paper jams under toner cartridge
Purchased used with 26,000 pages printed. This problem started immediately. Remanufactured HP toner cart. New swing plate and a roller maintenance kit has been installed.
Paper feeds properly from tray 1. I can run a hundred pages with no jams. Using tray 2 usually results in a jam within 10 pages. The paper protrudes out around 1 inch after the registration plate. Most of the time it's crumpled up between the white round (shutter?) piece and the registration plate. More often then not if it manages to print all the pages, it will push one more page up and stop at that point.
sticking paper pickup solenoid. watch the video. I use sticky backed felt instead of tape. You can buy it at a hardware store. It is used on the bottom of chair legs.
You're the man! That was easy. Fixed it with a piece of heat shrink tubing around the bracket. 100 pages with no problems.
I actually saw that video a couple of days ago (after watching dozens of repair videos) and was thinking a different direction because of the crumpling paper.
I'm glad I came here and extra thanks for replying so quickly.
