Coloured lines (purple-ish) when I print in colour

Good morning

I have had this machine for approximately 3 years, and whilst I do appreciate it that it may be getting time to replace the drum, they are VERY expensive and only want to do this if it is abosolutely necessary.

When I print in colour, I am getting thick shaded coloured lines running down the page. I have cleaned the drum unit, and used the wire slides also.

Any ideas, or is it time to bite the bullet and buy a drum unit?

There are actually 4 drums. What causes lines is a worn drum wiper blade in most cases. They will only be in the color of the toner above it. You can get a remanufactured drum unit much cheaper than an OEM. Here is a reliable source that I use.
