Duplexer Jam error 13.13.00

Hi--I have an HP 4200, I run a nonprofit and this thing is our workhorse. I have once fixed the sticky solenoid, and just did that again, I'm getting 13.13.00 jam error, there is one page in the duplexer and one page stuck under the toner just past the transfer roller. The print on the page under the toner is smeared vertically.. I have replaced all the rollers and re-applied felt to the solenoid, pulled the fuser and it looks clean, tried another toner cartidge as well. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Are you trying to duplex? If you are, clear the job and send just one duplex page and report the result.

Hi--It will usually print anywhere from 3 to 20 pages (legal) to the duplexer befor jamming, and it always jams the same, one page in the duplexer and one page stuck under the toner. I swapped out the duplexer and no change. Thanks so much, dave

youve done what i would have done but try remove the felt from the solenoid and put tape in place of it.. will be noisyer but wont tend to stick. you get a more positive release ..i never did like the felt ...also clean any pickup rollers again with meths... maybe sticking paper sensor

Thanks Steve--gaffer tape, electrical tape? How thick. I don't think it is the solenoid but I'll try it.

After trying everything else, I used a can of compressed air to blow through everything that looked like it might be a sensor, and the printer seems to be working. My question is, is this random or could a dirty sensor be causing the problem. If it's the sensor, which one would cause this problem and where is it located. Thanks so much.
