'crunchy' noise from new fuser then 50.4

Replacing the fuser in 4650dn with q3676a first one made a horrible crunch noise then 50.4 error- ordered new one same thing and these are new HP fusers

50.4 error A faulty fuser error has occurred. There may be a problem with the printer's fuser, or inadequate external or internal power supply/line voltage.

You might have too much plugged into the one line. Fusers take a lot of amperage. Try an outlet with nothing else plugged into it.

crunching to mean means look at the drive gear to the fuser this fuser error is likely its not turning properly so overheating check for missing gear teeth where fuser meshes with main printer gears may even be a trapped screw etc...
