Paper feed

When started, paper only gets about 1" inside the printer. Doesn't get to cartridge. This is form both the bottom tray (tray2) and front feed (tray 1). When feed through the bottom, I then have to go in and gently pull the paper back out and get all the little fragments. The error lite goes on and, when I look for error code, the front light on top blinks about 5 times, fast and then the error light returns.

Any ideas and is it worth fixing this? I can probably get another LJ mono printer for under $100.

Thank you.

There must be a scrap of paper you missed. It would be under the metal flap in the area after the paths from the lower tray and the upper tray intersect.

I found it. It was not under the metal flap..the paper never got to the metal flap. It was under the plastic 'zig-zag ' piece that is attached to the front of the inside compartment. I needed to remove the screw on the left side to get enough exposure to find it, needed mini-forceps to get it out.

Seems to work fine now.

Thank you
