Parts in printer are at end of service
I received a message service required, parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life, ( see your printer documentation ). I called Epson and they directed me to a service person in my area. Service Rep said ink pads on the bottom of the printer needed replaced. I was given a program reset for Epson 1400. I opened the program and allowed access to my harddrive. Maint. utility reset appeared showing my system Windows 8 64 bit. I clicked ok and agreed to the terms and a message came up (cannot be removed or no applicable printer found.
Try this free reset utility. No need to change the pads as they hold way more than when the message comes up.
