Printer bricked during update
Windows wanted to update my printer and I followed the software procedure.. After 10 minutes during the firmware installation the printer suddenly went into recovery mode.. So the driver installation program told to connect it with an usb cable and download the recovery software from a link.. I downloaded it and executed it, the firmware was sent to the printer and installed apparently in the correct way and the message "The printer will now restart" appeared. After that message my printer won't turn on!!
Pressing the power button won't give any result, the power light won't power on and the display won't show anything!!
I tried to press the power button for 10 seconds (read it somewhere) with the power wire disconnected and after connecting the wire and the power button light will stay forever green in this way but the display is still off and the printer is still not usable and not recognized by the computer.
Is there anything that can be done to fix it? Why the heck does epson send out updates that may brick a printer?
Exactly the same problem here .. totally bricked
